This donation will help build a new Therapeutic Outdoor Classroom for the Center’s South Central Early Intervention Program. The KDC is a non-profit human service agency serving eastern and central Massachusetts as well as northern Connecticut. The KDC provides a range of programs, including in-home services to support children, adolescents and adults with developmental delays or disabilities. These services include prevention, advocacy and intervention for these individuals and their family; supporting their needs and helping these individuals develop the social, emotional and cognitive skill sets to become successful citizens. As part of the program, the Center offers a Therapeutic Outdoor Classroom and playground learning space for parents and caregivers to interact with their children in a nurturing environment outside of their home. “Thank you so much for your generous support of our playground project,” said KDC Program Director of the Southbridge Early Intervention Program Robin Weber. “Outdoor play and motor skills development are an important part of our group programs, and we really appreciate your partnership with Kennedy-Donovan Center’s Early Intervention Program!” “The KDC is such an important resource for our community members who need the extra support,” stated President and Treasurer Todd M. Tallman of Cornerstone Bank. “We are happy to help rebuild the Early Intervention Program’s outdoor classroom and playground.” For more information on the Center including how to donate, visit www.kdc.org. or call: 508-772-1212.
