Cornerstone Bank’s Charitable Donations Committee (CDC) is proud to have recently donated $2,500 to the Nativity School of Worcester. This donation will help update the arts and performance programs at the school, which is an integral part of developing the creative and independent minds of the students.
Nativity School of Worcester provides an avenue for boys from low-income homes in grades five through eight to achieve great educational success. The school is an accredited, independent, Jesuit middle school that provides a quality, all-scholarship education to young men of all faiths. A Nativity education inspires self-discovery, responsibility, spiritual growth and a lifelong dedication to learning.
The donated funds will go toward updating art supplies, costumes and musical instruments. These items are often second-hand donations from other resources, and the donation will help the school make repairs as well as purchase new materials. The program provides a platform and a voice for these young men who otherwise would not have the opportunity for creative exploration and growth.
“This school makes such a difference for many middle-school aged boys, and the arts are an integral part of enhancing their minds,” stated President and Treasurer Todd M. Tallman of Cornerstone Bank. “We couldn’t think of a better way to give back than to support our local youth in their pursuit for education.”
