Now in its 37th year, the CASA Project provides advocacy services to children living in the foster care system. The organization trains volunteer citizens to become court-appointed special advocates to represent the best interests of abused or neglected children in the juvenile court system. The funds donated will be used to help support the recruitment and training of additional CASA volunteers, and thereby allow CASA to serve more victimized children within Worcester County as part of the Child Court Advocacy Program. “The CASA Project is crucial to Worcester County’s children who find themselves in a situation where they need a responsible advocate to ensure their safety,” stated Chairman and CEO K. Michael Robbins of Cornerstone Bank. “CASA’s mission to expand their services and serve the victimized children in the area is noble, and we are happy to be able to support them in this worthy endeavor.” For more information on the CASA Project, visit www.casaworcestercounty.org or call: 508-757-9877.
